Hi, I’m Louise. I’m a fourth year student doing an internship for which I’m implementing the Selective Frequency Damping (SFD) method (Akervik et al., 2006) into Basilisk.

SFD module and examples using centered.h

• The SFD module to be included in the header of the following file codes
• Stabilisation of a Kármán Vortex Street behind a 2D cylinder
• Stabilisation of a flow behind a 3D sphere

• The streamfunction-vorticity SFD module to be included in the header of the following file code
• Stabilisation of Kelvin-Helmholtz instabilities

• Strouhal number of the oscillations behind a 2D sphere
• First step of the SFD : filtering the unstable flow
